Belga Restaurant & Pub
In brief
The cookies necessary for the operation of the website are always active. Basic page-view measurement may also work without consent, while the analytics and marketing settings can be managed on the cookie panel.
1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small data packet that the browser can store on the visitor's device. It can help, for example, the website to remember the cookie settings, or a visit to be recognisable in a measurement system.
2. What cookies do we use?
| Category | Purpose | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Necessary cookies | The basic operation of the site and saving the consent status. | Always active |
| Analytics | Measuring traffic and site usage via Google Tag Manager. | Configurable |
| Marketing | Basic Meta Pixel page-view measurement, and, with consent, further advertising measurement. We do not transfer any personal data from the form to Meta. | Basic PageView measurement active, further measurement configurable |
3. Specific cookies and measurement identifiers
| Name or type | Provider | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|
| cc_cookie | Belga Restaurant & Pub website | Saving the cookie consent settings. | According to the setting stored in the browser. |
| _ga, _ga_*, _gid | Analytics measurement, analysis of visits and site usage. | According to Google's settings, typically from a few days to several months. | |
| _fbp, _fbc | Meta | Meta Pixel page-view and advertising measurement. A name, email address or phone number provided in the form is not transferred to Meta. | According to Meta's settings, typically at most 90 days. |
| Form event_id | Belga Restaurant & Pub website | A technical event identifier for our own form measurement and for the browser event. It does not contain personal data. | A technical identifier tied to the time of the form submission. |
4. Google Tag Manager and Google measurement
The website uses Google Tag Manager to manage the measurement codes. On the basis of the Google consent mode settings, storage for analytics and advertising purposes adjusts to the visitor's consent decision.
The purpose of the analytics category is for us to see which pages are useful to visitors, where it is worth improving the content, and which devices they use to access the site.
5. Meta Pixel measurement
Basic Meta Pixel PageView measurement may operate on the website. This serves to measure page views.
Upon a successful contact-form submission, in the case of marketing consent, we may send a browser-side Lead event to Meta, without personal form data.
We do not use the server-side Conversion API to transfer personal data provided in the form.
6. Form submission and technical data
When the form is filled in, the website processes the data necessary to carry out the contact. A technical log and a JSON save may be made of the submission on the server, which external visitors cannot access.
The name, email address, phone number and message provided in the form are not transferred to Meta. We handle the submission in our own system, by email and via the configured n8n webhook.
7. Modifying consent
Consent can be modified at any time with the „Cookie settings” button found on the site. Here, analytics and marketing-purpose measurement can be managed separately.
If you delete the cookies in your browser, the website may ask for the consent settings again.
